eBoost Consultant Wins Regional SIFE Competition!

Nick Urbani, a eBoost consultant, along with his team on SDSU’s Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) won the regional SIFE Competition in Seattle on April 5th. We are proud of Nick and his team’s accomplishment.
The Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) team won the regional SIFE competition in Seattle on April 5, qualifying them for the national competition. The 15 teams that competed presented what they have done over the academic year to create economic opportunity for others and how they have applied classroom learning to real-world business issues. The teams presented to a panel of judges comprised of 24 volunteer Seattle-area businesspeople.
The SDSU team won $1,500 for placing first in its region and $2,000 for being named as national finalists in two special competitions, market economics and sustainability. They will go on to compete against 270 other teams in Dallas in May at the national competition. The SIFE national champion goes on to compete in the world championship in the fall.

Venture Challenge is a competition produced by the Entrepreneurial Management Center (EMC) at San Diego State University. Venture Challenge is an international business plan competition that brings university teams from around the U.S., Canada, and Europe. Teams pitch their business plan to other entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, executives, and service providers to judge and provide feedback on their entrepreneurial venture.
This year eBoost Marketing is a sponsor of Venture Challenge 2007 alongside Ernst & Young, Qualcomm, SDSU Center for International Business Education & Research (CIBER), KPBS, and San Diego Business Journal. eBoost Marketing is providing digital marketing services valued at $15,000 to the winner.
Supporting entrepreneurialism is a key driver for eBoost Marketing and its CEO Micha Mikailian. He was also a participant in Venture Challenge 2005 and actively participates with the Entrepreneurial Management Center at SDSU.
Venture challenge 2007 will be held March 15-17, 2007 at the San Diego Marriott Mission Valley.
